Spec Update Utility for In-Run Valves

Key-in: < | > [ ]

For cases where the size or spec of a pipe run needs to be changed, OpenPlant PID provides a utility which lets the user update the spec information for inline valves included on the run. When the run size/spec is changed the following dialog displays listing the inline valves along with the available matching component records within the spec.

Note: In the image below, the pipe run size was changed in the Element Information dialog.
SettingDescription
Component Grid

The component grid lists all of the valves on the resized pipe run with columns including the following information:

  • Business Key: Lists the Business Key (Tag Number) for the valve.
  • InRun Class Name: Lists the class name for the valve.
  • Status: Gives the number of available valves in the spec which matches the new run size.
  • Spec Records: Provides a drop down list of the available valves to select from.

Once you have made your valve selection(s), click the Apply Spec Changes button to apply the changes.

Note: If the specification does not have any matching components, this will be reflected in the Status column (0 matching records). In this case the spec data is cleared for the item.
Navigation Arrows The navigation arrows in the toolbar allow you to move through the component records.
Apply Spec Changes Applies the changes to the valve components and returns to the drawing.

Once you have made your new valve selections, click Apply to apply the changes are return to the drawing.

You can verify the changes in the Element Information dialog.
